Academic Senate of the Faculty of Sports Studies proposed removal of the Dean from office

On Friday, 13th March the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Sports Studies MU approved the proposal to dismiss the Dean Martin Zvonař. The Senate thus reacted to the dean´s malpractice in reporting publications in habilitation and professorship proceedings. The malpractice became apparent after examining the list of expert and scientific works presented as part of habilitation and professorship proceedings. The serious malpractice was confirmed by the Board of Ethics.

With the Faculty Senate´s proposal, the dean can be removed from office by the rector who will make the final decision as soon as he becomes acquainted with the text of the minutes of the Senate´s meeting. Martin Zvonař has been dean since the beginning of 2018 when he replaced the kinanthropologist and ice hockey specialist Jiří Nykodým, who could not run for office after two terms.
