International Summer School of Combatives 2016
Faculty of Sports Studies organized the fifth year of the successful International Summer School of Combatives from 1 to 4 September 2016. The organizers prepared an attractive and original program. Participants from four countries learned the bases of Filipino boxing panantukan and unique T. C. S. Knife Fighting presented by Marian Komrska. The first two days were devoted also to the Brazilian jujutsu taught by Jan Tichy. Colleagues from the Charles University Jaroslav Stich and Radim Pavelka led the stunt trainings. For all participants it was the first experience with combative techniques used in theater and movies. Tomas Novohradsky from the University of Defence led the lesson of tactical games in the paintball arena. This activity not only examine tactical and combat abilities of individuals, but also teamwork. The Summer School of Combatives was supported by the South Moravian Region and also by the company Trade FIDES a.s. Challenging four - day program motivated participants to further study of combat systems and inspired them to exchange experience.
