Compulsory application appendices:

  • verified copy of Master Diploma
  • validation of previous education if it took place abroad
  • structured CV
  • confirmation of practice stated in CV
  • overview of published professional works
  • doctoral thesis project
  • statement of a potential supervisor including his/her agreement of potential guidance of the applicant (professor, docent)

 

Requirements for Doctoral Thesis project:

The project of a Doctoral Thesis is supposed to manifest that the applicant’s knowledge of the selected topic and basic literature in this field is of a deep and wide character and he/she is able to discuss the topic.

Submitted project should include the following items:

  • The applicant’s personal data
  • Topic of Doctoral Thesis
  • Name of the supervisor and his/her written statement including his/her agreement
  • Brief introduction to the topic
  • The aim of the project – scientific question
  • Hypotheses
  • Methodology – estimated research set, used methods, way of elaborating data
  • Other – research plan, solutions to financial and ethic aspects etc.
  • Basic literature
  • Scope of the project – 3-5 A4 pages

Entrance examination procedure:

INTERVIEW

  1. defending the submitted project of Doctoral Thesis - screening
  • quality of project of Doctoral Thesis
  • knowlidge of the field of Kinanthropology
  • applicant's readiness of scientific work ( ability to studey professional literature, ability to define scientific issues, ability to formulate scientific questions and hypotheses, ability to look for ways to solve these questions and verify hypotheses, ability to organize resarch projects).

ENGLISH TEST

  • ability to understand a written text
  • discussion about the submitted Doctoral Thesis Project

Note: Should the applicant wish to be examined in a different world language, a written request must be submitted. Such request must be included among the application appendices.

Both parts of the entrance examination take place on the same day; invitation and schedule of the entrance examination will be delivered to the applicant during May provided that the applicant has submitted a valid application and paid the administrative fee.

 

Evaluation criteria of the entrance examination:

  1. Evaluation of the quality of the Doctoral Thesis Project (0-5 pts)
  2. Good knowledge of the selected field of study (0-5pts)
  3. presuppositions for scientific work (0-5pts)
  4. Relationship of the Doctoral Thesis Project to the research project:
  • in progress /approved (5 pts)
  • submited (3pts)
  • the research direction of the department (1pst)
  • no relationship (0 pts)
  1. English language competence (0-5 pts)

Maximum Total: 25

To meet the criteria of the entrance examination, the applicant must get a minimum of 15 points.

 

The number of students accepted in the subject of Kinanthropology will be stated by the Dean of the Faculty.
