Students of the master's program experienced a unique internship with security forces and the military
Students of the Conditioning Training and Applied Kinesiology program had the opportunity to experience unique practical training directly in the field in October and November 2024

Training with the Special Police Unit Brno
On October 17, 2024 as part of the Conditioning Training for Security Forces course, students visited the training of the Special Police Unit Brno. Under the supervision of sergeant major Mgr. Václav Hrabec, MBA the students first learned the basics of self-defense techniques used by the unit which they then had the chance to practice immediately. In the second part of the training they focused on teamwork while handling heavy loads. Special thanks go to lieutenant Bc. Tomáš Marcaník for organizing the event.
Military Skills Training in Vyškov
Another part of the practical training took place on November 14, 2024 at the Vyškov Military Training Area. Led by corporal Martin Šmerda, students were introduced to the basics of military foot movements in the field. The training included movement with ballistic protection a weapon replica and a 15-20 kg backpack to closely simulate the conditions of military training.
After the foot marches, the students practiced battlefield movements known as "hopping" where soldiers must cover as much distance as possible in three seconds while maintaining safety and tactical guidelines. The final part of the training was dedicated to three basic crawling techniques. Throughout the entire session, students wore ballistic protection and used weapon replicas provided by their department.
This hands-on experience gave students a valuable insight into the demanding preparation of security forces and soldiers, allowing them to practically apply skills that may be required in their future professions.
