The summer school combines theoretical knowledge with hands-on learning across a variety of sport-related disciplines. Participants had the opportunity to deepen their understanding of exercise physiology, sportsnutrition, recovery strategies, and the functioning of the human stress response system, while also taking part in practical sessions led by FSpS academics.

The programme included activities such as bouldering, canoeing, trail running, strength training, sports massage techniques, and self-defence. Students also visited the faculty’s sport laboratories, where theyexperienced selected diagnostic and testing methods commonly used in sport practice and research.

The summer school was organised as part of the Masaryk University Centre for International Cooperation Summer School Cluster, which provided a rich social and cultural programme for all participants. Activitiesincluded a boat party, wine tasting, a city game, yoga sessions, and many other opportunities to meet students from across the university’s international summer schools.

We would like to thank all participants for their engagement, and interest in the programme. Our sincere thanks also go to all lecturers and staff members of the Faculty of Sports Studies who contributed to theorganisation and delivery of the summer school. We hope that the students leave Brno with new knowledge, practical skills, valuable international connections, and many memorable experiences.
