The scientific conference "International Conference on Kinanthropology - Sport and Quality of Life" is a meeting place for worldwide experts in the field of sports sciences. In science and research, the exchange of experience and the mutual sharing of knowledge has immense value.
The Faculty of Sports Studies has been organizing the "International Conference on Kinanthropology - Sport and Quality of Life" in cooperation with the Faculty of Kinesiology, University of Zagreb, since 2006. The conference used to be held annually until 2010. Since 2011, has been taking place every two years. The conference usually has over 120 participants (more than 300 participants in 2017), who introduce over 100 oral or poster presentations. The programme is divided into seven sections (including a section for PhD students and a poster section).
We offer our guests a forum for the latest research and theoretical and applied knowledge in the field of sports. The conference is a series of spoken or poster presentations, which are usually followed by discussions on a variety of topics related to the analysis of human exercise, sports training, sports and social sciences, sports management, healthy lifestyle, or active ageing. There is also a student section supporting the development of students' creative activities and their active participation in conferences. We offer students the opportunity to pass on the acquired knowledge, establish professional contacts for future cooperation, improve their communication with experts and derive inspiration for future angles of development.
Following the conference, all spoken presentations are reviewed and published in the post-conference proceedings, which have been recently indexed in the Web of Science database. Participants meet not only for professional discussions and bilateral meetings, but they also engage in a cultural program such as a guided tour around the city of Brno. We feel that the conference contributes to the exchange of the latest research knowledge and ideas in the field of physical activity, which can be applied to improve the quality of life.
