Description This textbook is designed as an introductory study material focused on the fundamentals of examination methods of the musculoskeletal system. It is primarily intended for physiotherapy students in the early semesters of their bachelor’s studies and for novice professionals in clinical practice. The aim of the publication is to provide a clear and structured overview of the basic diagnostic methods used in physiotherapy, which form the foundation for understanding more complex aspects of clinical kinesiology and rehabilitation. The content of the textbook is organized from introductory topics—such as medical history taking and basic clinical examination—through specialized procedures for assessing the condition of the skin, muscles, fasciae, joints, and spine, to postural assessment and analysis of movement patterns. A separate chapter is devoted to kinesiological analysis, and the concluding part of the book introduces the principles of evidence-based medicine, which are essential for a rational approach to clinical decision-making. The publication has been prepared by a team of experienced authors and emphasizes the practical applicability of the presented knowledge in clinical settings. It serves not only as a study resource but also as a basis for further professional development in physiotherapy.
