Sociology of Sports: Current Problems

Monography is primairly outlined as materialized aid for doctorand study of sociology of sport at the Faculty of sport studies, Masaryk university. It is comprised with accordance of previous books of the author on sociology of sport. As a such is rooted in research of mutual study of sport and society. Besides of stressing on fundamental basic conceptss of sociology of sport, the book is intersted in topical problems of contemporary sport: Sport globalization, sport mobility, forms of sport spectatorship, violence on sport stadiums, existence of stars, ikons and heroes in the world of sport. Discussion is also concentrated on the problems of sport ethic, growing problems with obesity in the context of sedentary society, or active forms of transportation. In the core of the problems of this book are also mutural relations and expectations of sport and society.
