Description In the chapter the authors analyze the differences in absolute and relative amounts of muscle mass in Czech population with respect to age, sex and quantity of physical activities. The study was carried out among 1,279 adults (>18 y.o.) from various regions of the Czech Republic. The mean age was 39.5 years (SD 15.38) Research has shown that the decline in the relative amounts of muscle mass is between age categories (from youngest to oldest) observed (p < 0.05). Consistent results were also observed when analyzing data implemented separately in men and women. The absolute amount of muscle decreases in the first three decades generally slower.
