Description Environmental (school, physical, built etc.) factors and physical fitness are considered important determinants of physically active lifestyle. Globally accepted models of behavioral change do not deal with physical fitness and do not reflect historic developments in population on national levels and other characteristics specific for Central Europe. The project is based on multifactorial and online approach, which enables continuity and spread of methodology, used in currently ongoing international projects. The research will be conducted repeatedly in four stages on eight basic schools and eight high schools over the Czech Republic. Physical activity will be monitored using accelerometers and pedometers as well as in online software INDARES using IPEN Adolescent Survey. Motivation for physical activity, emotional wellbeing, sports preference and physical fitness will be evaluated using applications in the INDARES software. The research will bring new findings to the theory of physical activity in different environments and will support health and the quality of life 5 in adolescents. Aims: a) determine significant determinants, correlates, mediators and moderators in the research triad built environments – physically active lifestyle – physical fitness; b) verify online research techniques for self-evaluation, recording and complex diagnostics of physically active lifestyle in adolescents.
