Description Demographic change in a lot of countries produced an increase in the proportion of older adults in society, resulting in specific healthcare challenges. With the aging process, the number of people with Alzheimer's disease, which is one of the leading causes of dementia, is going up. This fact consequently affects the extent of self-sufficiency and thus significantly reduces the quality of life of the elderly suffering from this disease. One of the possible means of slowing the aging process may be physical activity, in our case, a 6-month dance-exercise intervention program. The overall results of functional fitness tests and stability show, the applied dance-exercise intervention program had a positive effect on functional fitness on the chosen parameters in healthy seniors and seniors with mild cognitive impairment.
