Description We had the load in our thesis, to take and document the level of orientation ability of the children on the second grade of the special schools for the visual handicapped and blind. We had a test batery of orientation ability which was developed special for visual handicapped. The children of the selected schools were devided into three categories of pupils with some visual handicap (according the International Blind Sports Federation standards) and pupils with no visual handicap diagnosis (ZD). The aim of this research is to create a differentiated perception of levels of orientation abilitiy at various degrees of visual handicap. Probands with worse visual handicapped achieved better results. Significant differences were shown with orientation tests 1 and 2. Hypotesis was proven only partly. We can say, that life of the visually handicappes can improve largely due to orientation in space as the crucial motoric abilities.
