Elections to the Academic Senate
Dear colleagues and students of the Faculty of Sports Studies of Masaryk University,
In accordance with the Election Regulations of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Sports Studies of Masaryk University, I hereby announce elections to both chambers (student and faculty) of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Sports Studies of Masaryk University for the 2023-2026 election period and set the following schedule.
The elections shall be organised and managed by the Electoral Commission of the Faculty of Sport’s Academic Senate at MUNI in accordance with the Electoral Regulations of the AS FSpS MU. The latter will inform the faculty about further details of the elections, the election campaign process and rules, as well as the election results. I would like to encourage you to get actively involved and use this opportunity to influence the direction of our faculty. Be involved, either as candidates or voters, and select representatives who will advocate for your interests and values in the academic environment of this body, which is the highest representative body of faculty academic governance.

How to apply
- by e-mail via the MUNI Information System (IS) to the e-mail address of the Chair of the Election Commission Pavlína Vaculíková, Ph.D. (vaculikova@fsps.muni.cz) and at the same time the Chair of the Academic Senate Dr Milena Strachová, Ph.D. (strachova@fsps.muni.cz) with the following information and text:
Method of voting
The student and faculty chamber will be elected electronically in the MUNI information system in the E-voting application.
Number of elected senators
6 senators will be elected to the teachers' chamber and 3 senators to the student chamber of the Faculty’s Academic Senate.
Conditions for election
- The candidates who have received the highest number of valid votes cast in their respective constituency shall be elected as members of the Senate until the number of seats in the Senate is filled.
In the event of a tie between candidates, a blind draw organised by the Electoral Commission shall decide. - Candidates who are not elected shall become substitutes.
- Elections to the Teachers' and Students' Chambers of the Academic Senate will be organised in accordance with the Election Regulations of the Academic Senate of the Faculty of Sports Studies at Masaryk University (in the version valid from 22 May 2017).
