"Me and Marta were hosted by the coach Oriane Martins that show us the incredible facilities of the center. We see the structure of training for 17 modalities, involving training space, adapted gym, physiotherapy, nutrition and psychology departments. Also, we had the opportunity to interact with the members of the Sports Science Department under the coordination of Doctor Thiago Lourenço. At that time, we met the Belgium researcher Dr. Romain Meeussem that was also visiting the Brazilian center. Dr. Romain is from Vrije Universiteit Brussel, well-known for his work in the topics of overtraining and mental fatigue topics. We had a lovely talk with coach Oriane, Dr Tiago and Dr. Romain about the application of science in the practice (knowledge translation)", says Ana Paludo.

Those who are interested in visiting the center or getting in touch with the Brazilian paralympic coaches and scientists, can visit the website4 or contact Ana Paludo. Dr Romain Meeuseem also extended the invitation to his lab in Brussels, and we are counting on his participation in our International Academic Week.
