A natural process of transformation or “aging is not a disease”
The department of physical activities and health organized a workshop for staff of the senior home in Zastávka near Brno.
Students of the faculty, within the courses Health Physical Education and Biology of Aging, under the supervision of Mgr. Roman Grmela, Ph.D., conducted education for staff using a simulation kit to demonstrate manifestations of aging and physiological aspects of the aging process. The primary focus was on participants’ experiential understanding and raising awareness of how challenging daily activities can be for the residents of the senior home.
The event took place at the premises of the Zastávka Senior Home, with students involved in both preparation and organization of the entire program. The event received great appreciation from both the staff and the management of the home.
