Lectures by foreign lecturers are one of the traditional activities fulfilling the internationalization goals of the faculties. The so-called "internationalization at home" through the integration of guest lecturers into the domestic curriculum is one of our key measures to not only convey the expertise of foreign experts in the field of sport sciences to the students, but also to reinforce the importance of students' perception of internationalization as a self-evident part of their studies at FSpS. We have therefore decided to build on the successful pilot year of International Week and to concentrate the teaching of invited foreign lecturers once again into a weekly lecture series.

From 20 to 24 November, we were visited by 14 teachers from Norway, Finland, Spain, Hungary, Austria, Great Britain, Germany, the Netherlands and Cyprus, who gave public lectures on various topics related to kinanthropology, such as "Esport and society", "Ongoing challenges in the Olympic Movement: limits of growing?", "The use of technology in sport: from the laboratory to the field", "Activity and wellbeing: behavioural activation therapy for people with intellectual disabilities and depression" or "Methodological Approach to Testing Fitness Parameters in Professional Athletes with Emphasis on Soccer Players" (a list of all lectures can be found here). Students registered for the lectures. The total number of students registered for at least one lecture was 277 and the average attendance was 51 students.

In addition to the lectures themselves, lecturers had individual meetings with our academics in their respective departments. This gave them the opportunity to discuss similarities and differences in teaching at each university and to suggest potential collaborations on joint research projects. We also arranged a networking session where the lecturers had the opportunity to meet each other informally, which was much appreciated. Overall, we received many positive responses from the visiting lecturers and opened the door for collaboration in the years to come.

We are now collecting feedback from the participating students, which we will then also draw on when planning the upcoming editions of the successful International Week at FSpS MU.
