Exchange intensive program “In Someone’s Shoes”
From April 6 to 11, 2025, a week-long intensive exchange program took place in Wrocław, Poland. The Academy of Physical Education hosted the fifth edition of the program, which was attended by students and faculty from Romania, Croatia, Belgium, Portugal, and Spain.
“During the very intensive week-long program, we shared knowledge and expertise in working with and providing therapy for clients with disabilities, including Paralympic athletes. Most of the methodological procedures and techniques were experienced firsthand by the students themselves, which was also the goal of the program, aptly named In Someone’s Shoes,” says Mgr. Barbora Ševčíková, a faculty instructor from our department who participated in the program along with second-year physiotherapy students.
“We would like to maintain the initiated cooperation between universities in Poland and participate again in the next edition,” she adds.
